Reina: Liverpool Risen

Reina: Liverpool Tengah BangkitLIVERPOOL - Liverpool have paid nearly 120 million pounds investment in the last 10 months, with improvements in achievement. This is expressed by the Reds goalkeeperJose Reina, on Monday.

"I wish I could close the gap," said the Spanish international after a 1-1 draw on Saturday, with Manchester United. The result left Liverpool in fifth place, six points of leaders Manchester City.

Reina added: "Our belief is about the quality of the team and the strength we have as a group of players and clubs. That's all that matters."

"We have to work every day, trying to improve and continue to try to compete more often with the teams above us."

"It is still too early to talk about closing the gap, but we'll know at the end of the season. I hope the distance will not be as wide."

Under their new management and the return of an icon Kenny Dalglish as manager, there is a new mood of optimism at Anfield.

Reina said: "This is a positive thing after the disappointment can not beat ManchesterUnited. We definitely play better and win games and that is the key."

"I think we have just one bad game, namely the Spurs (4-0 defeat at which Liverpool havetwo players who issued the referee). We are much happier than a year ago," he said.(AFP)
