European COMMISSION proposed investments worth 9 billion dollars for the launch ofsuperfast broadband infrastructure across the European Union. The plan is intended toaccelerate the penetration of broadband in rural areas.
They are also targeting to increase the speed of Internet connections in every home across the European Union. The houses in Europe at least 30Mbps speed internet access in 2020with half the population enjoy 100Mbps.
These targets will make Europe more competitive and productive.
